Our industry is that conservative that their journey sure is going another direction than that of Midjourney.

NB23 Can I ask what it is that the film industry is now doing or not doing in the last few days/weeks/ months or may be even years that puts us in hell. I presume that this thread has been prompted by either a sudden change in what is happening in the film industry or is it that the road to hell began some time ago( when?) and which industries are affected i.e is it the behaviour of all film makers or specific ones and if so which ?

Finally what defines mid-journey for you?

Thanks

The idea he's referring to is art being "created" by artificial intelligence.

I thought that Hell is either playing golf or watching others play golf.

How did you work that out from his enigmatic thread title of Mid-journey The link was just a series of pictures to me, some just strange, others amusing and strange

Is my perception or lack of it perhaps conditioned by a diet of bangers and mash, warm beer and dark nights in winter at 52 degrees North ? 😄

Interesting web site. I think I might get some ideas from looking through it.

Here in Southern California we have comfortable temperatures year round with little to no air conditioning and a little heating. If I want to see Fall Colors I drive to the mountains and when I want to see snow I drive to the mountains, then I just drive home and not have to deal with raking leaves or shoveling snow. And I have sunny skies 350 days a year.

if you use Google to search "Midjourney", you will find out that:
"Midjourney is a research lab and the name of the lab's artificial intelligence program that creates images from textual descriptions"
Perhaps Stanley Kubrick and Douglas Trumbull knew what was coming:

Thanks Matt. I had never heard of Midjourney and had assumed it was a description of where NB23 imagined the film makers to be from their journey from bankruptcy and doom of say the mid first decade of the 21st century to our present situation

When it comes to NB23, it may not be safe to assume things :whistling:

I want to know how you get to Samy's?? Route 66 is too busy to ride one's bicycle. Tesla? Helicopter? I heard that California is banning all film cameras by 2035, everything is going electric. 😊 😅

I only knew because my kids were messing with it. Otherwise, I would have assumed he was talking about middle age.
