The thread on John Riddy triggered me as there's another active photographer (but of much lesser fame) whose work is in a similar vein: Michiel Schierbeek.
He's a regular contributor on the getdpi.com forums. I don't think he's done any work on film recently, so it's all digital.
A friend of mine is a fan of his work, and I can't disagree...I've seen his book 'Opale et Albâtre' and it's really worthwhile.
