What is the minimum amount of D76 1:1 developer needed per sheet of medium format?

Background: Developing Arista 400 in home made 1.5" ABS light tight tanks, which we made for single 4x5 sheet development.. The max capacity of this tank is 12oz. With MF, with a plastic divider, in the center, we can develop two MF sheets at a time.

Searching really found nothing for sheet film, for a roll of 35mm it was stated 250mm,

1 135 roll = 1 120 roll = 80 square inches. If you have a minimum volume of stock developer needed for 135, then you can find whatever is needed for any other format, but you have to do the math.

If it's 250ml per 35mm or 120 film then it's 1/8th of that :D Just use maths  Assuming 6.5x9 sheet film then 8 sheets is equivalent to a 120 Roll film.

Yeah.. just do the math... a little over 31mm per MF sheet.. HAHA
... Ahha.. a dumb question when you think about it, for just one or two sheets!
The reality of the situation is that the neg has to be totally immersed for even development.
Have to check what that is for my situation, but probably a minimum of 200 mm, but will have to go back to the math, for the inside diameter of a 2" ABS pipe.

Or keeping it simple, the 1.5" container is about 9.75" long, and holds a little less than 12oz. Divided by three gives ya 3.25".coverage area for 4oz, and that would be the absolute minimum..
So for mixing 1:1, to keep it easy, 100m x2 =200mm or about 6.75 oz ..

Now to the funny farm... in imagination, .. a tray 2.5" x 3.5", filled with 31mm of solution, would there be enough to immerse the negative adequately to be developed? Would have to go back to the math!!!
Ah forgetaboutit... will just go develop some film.. that's more fun!

It is questions like this that reveal the beauty of using replenished developer:whistling:.
