Be aware that the operator the machine at the airport will crank up the radiation level if he or she cannot see into the can.Amazon is selling protective canisters for MF film. I've always felt a bit uncomfortable with unprotected film rolls, given how we are used to the 35mm canisters. Apparently these are made for some odd brand of film, "Stash". It sounds Russian. But they fit any 120 spool. I'm anxious to get a dozen or so for the next time I go thru airport security.

A problem with metal containers- rattling. Might seem minor, but after the constant ting ting ting you might think otherwise.

I don't use canisters, but I always wrap my used film in aluminum foil
