MF film scanning sites

At the risk of having this moved to another site by the mods, I had to risk it. One because you guys offer the most sane and unbiased advice plus tchincally this IS Medium Format FILM based..

Ok , so here we go...

Ive been looking for labs that will scan my 120 negs at drum scan quality, or at least near to it... So far the best one ive found has been http://www.digmypics.com but Im not sure. They offer some interesting services but I dont know what else I should be looking for. Can you guys take a look and see what you think? Im looking for high quality scans that I could use for making large prints for sale. What DPI should I be looking for if Im shooting primarily 100 isa ish b/w MF film?

One service i DO wish they offered was to be able to download the file/s directly to my computer. This would enable to complete the projects a week quicker ( I live overseas from their site).

Any advice?

They state that they scan and work on your image files into TIFF mode, but then convert it to JPG before sending it to you. If you could have them keep it in TIFF mode, that would be better if you plan on working with your images.

Why not look into buying a used Nikon Coolscan LS 8000 ED? It will give you 4000 ppi (dpi) scans and you can find some great bargains on these scanners - under $1000 USD.

Actually, I read deeper into it and they will send you the untouched TIFF, which youre right, is very important...

I would indeed be interested in that specific scanner if i could find it for under 1k, but ive not seen it go for that..
I will eventually do exactly that though, just wont be able till come spring time at the earliest..
