I have been researching MF cameras with AF, AE and autowind have boiled it down to a few cameras. Also something reasonable $ wise would be nice. I want to use this for rapid shooting with more rez. A 1dsMkII would fit the bill, but 7G is too much for me.

I really also need a zoom lens in the wide to normal length. I like the idea of a Fuji GA645ZI, but I would prefer a real zoom lens and not a step zoom lens. It sounds good due to lightness and a supossedly sharp lens. A good one to stuff into a pack.

The super expensive Rollei 6008AF would work, but way to expensive for me and I dont think there is a zoom lens. Same for the Contax 645.

Next would be a Pentax 645n. Although heavier than a RF its more versitile than a Fuji ZI.

I have never found one, but the next question is, was there ever a 6x7 AF autowind camera made ?? I would really prefer a larger negative.

Rollei 6008AF are reasonably priced second had.

You can also buy zoom AF lenses for it, such as the Schneider AF-Variogon 60 - 140 mm f/4.6 HFT PQS.

If you are going to be using the kit seriously you will find that cost of processing, etc. soon outweighs the cost of kit. Heck, the cost of hotel accommodation alone on some trips is more than my entire kit bag is worth.

The Hasselblad H1 or H2 with the HM 16-32 magazine back (can use 120 or 220 film) and the HC 50-110 f3.5-4.5 zoom lens seems to fit your bill (except the price?).

Further with the CF adapter, you can use any of the non-autofocus C/CF/CB/CFi/CFE lenses.

I've used the H1 several times (albeit with a digital back). It feels very light and balanced in your hand. The autofocus is also pretty quick and quiet.

Regards, Art.
