I think I will take it but I need to confirm information. This old CT-1 is a plain jane analog flash that you can use manually or it has an automatic function were you set your f-stop and your sync speed and away you go. Kind of like the old Vivitar 283, this is just a whole lot bigger, right.
No need for a SCA adapter, because it has it's own sensor built into the handle of the flash, right? I have a bunch of old Canon 533G and 577G handle mount flashes I like and use on my old Nikon FA, FE and even the F4 when I need power to get out there, but I need more power and I think this will fit the bill. Sure it would be nicer to have a newer unit, but what for if I am using it strictly for analog cameras?
I know if I got one of the more modern Metz flashes I would need an adapter to go with my Mamiya 645 Pro, but the Metz web site doesn't even show an SCA adapter is needed for any of my old cameras, just the PC cord to the camera, right?
