I stumbled onto a Honey Pot of beautiful Zone VI equipment. Type II, 8x10 and "5x7" models. I have 3 Z6 Calumet era heads. 1 fitted to one of my Beseler 4x5s, the others are on the Z6 enlargers. I got 2 enlarger timers, a Z6 compensating and a Metrolux II. I am in love with the Metrolux, have started split printing, wow what a powerful method.

RH Stopclock Vario talks about the split printing mode , using 2 channels one for soft and one for hard. HERE IS MY question, the RH sensor seems to work just like the Metrolux, can't I do the same thing with Lux 1 and 2 on the Metrolux?. I can totally get behind the f stop printing. I have been doing this manually for years.

Other than f stop exposures is there any advantage to the RH Vario over the Metrolux?

I am always looking for an excuse to buy more equipment, one of these days will probably convince myself to buy a Heiland LED head and accessories.

Best Regards, Mike

I have both, I'm used to the Metrolux II and prefer it with cold light heads. I use the RH with my DeVere 5108. My 2ç's worth. L
