Met Clyde Butcher this past weekend

Clyde Butcher had a gallery opening in Sarasota this past weekend. I've been a fan of his for a while now and having just moved to Sarasota, I couldn't pass up the opportunity. The only experience that compares to seeing all of his prints in person was when my university had an exhibition of Ansel Adams' work (seeing an original Moonrise is hard to beat).

Clyde was there and I got to chat with him and his wife, both as nice as can be. I had him sign one of his books and my Nikon. I really felt like a little kid meeting one of their heroes. It was a good day!

guess you won't be shooting with that camera anymore

definitely a hero... he used to have a studio workshop down in venice, worth seeing!

I was planning on covering it with clear nail polish and continuing to use it. I could also just buy another back for the camera if I really don't want to use it. But, that is also why I got a book signed; even if i lose the signature on the camera, I'll have the one in the book forever.

That's awesawe. I love that you got the camera signed.
