A friend of mine has an EOS 80D strap on her Diana. Makes me giggle.

Someone asked me once how many megapixels my 4x5 Speed Graphic is. I looked at him for a moment, trying to decide whether he was serious, decided he was, and then said, "one."

I go with the most outlandish estimates when I get asked that. 35mp for 135, 250mp for medium format and 'near as I can tell about 5 gigapixels' for large format.

My pixels are molecular and therefore much tinier than your will ever hope to be. So I am at the Gigapexel range.

This reminds of me of the countless times I got "Is that a film camera" back when I carried the Epson R-D1 around with that goofy film advance lever that was required to cock the shutter and activate the meter. I miss that camera, but damn what a fragile rangefinder mechanism. I was adjusting that every time I took it out ;P

Oh sure, just make me feel inadequate, especially when i'm processing my one megapixel images. Is it worth it any more?

Gee, how can I say it tactfully? No, Nein, Nyet.

This is the response for me....:-D

There is a running gag at the camera shop where I work- "How many mega-pickles does that there camera have....."

My 4x5 has so many mega-pickles!

Don't forget, if you're shooting color you get to multiply those numbers by 3, since most digital sensors record only 1 color per pixel. So that would be 105MP for 35mm, 750MP for medium format, and 15GP for large format (lower case m is for "milli" not "mega" - M is for "mega". Big difference (milli=1/1000; mega=1,000,000).)

Haha I love this one! Or how about "My camera's sensor is a post-modern write-once read-many (WORM) sensor based on organic chemicals and precious metals like silver." :D

Chemical camera with swappable sensor.
