Message from John Sexton. A show and lecture in April in Oregon

I wanted to let you know that I am having at exhibition Oregon State
University in Corvallis at the Fairbanks Gallery. The exhibition
dates are April 6-29, 2009. I have included links below to the

In addition, there will be an opening reception, along with a lecture
and book signing, on Monday, April 6th. I'd be most grateful if you
could pass the word along to members of the Portland Photographers
Forum. I know it's a long way from Portland, but perhaps some of
them might be interested in seeing the show and/or attending the
lecture.

My new traveling exhibition John Sexton: Thirty-Five Years of Photographs will have its “premier” at the beautiful Fairbanks Gallery at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, April 6th through 29th.

There will be an opening reception, followed by a lecture and book signing on April 6th at 6:00 p.m. at the LaSells Stewart Center on the OSU campus. The reception and lecture is free and open to the public. The lecture is limited to available seating, on a first come basis.

This exhibition includes early images, as well as recent photographs.
Gallery hours to view the exhibition are: 8:00 am - 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Fairbanks Gallery and the Visiting Artists & Lecture Program are sponsored by the OSU Department of Art.

RECEPTION + LECTURE SCHEDULE LOCATION UPDATE

I just learned that there are some changes to the schedule and locations for the exhibition, lecture, and reception at OSU on Monday, April 6. Here is the current, and correct, info:

JOHN SEXTON: THIRTY-FIVE YEARS OF PHOTOGRAPHS
EXHIBITION - APRIL 6-29, 2009
Fairbanks Gallery, Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon

The Gallery will be open until 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 6
to view the exhibition.

I will be in the Fairbanks Gallery from 4:30-5:45 pm to visit with people, and answer any questions anyone might have about the photographs in the exhibition.

The normal hours for the Fairbanks Gallery are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

RECEPTION – 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
LECTURE and BOOK SIGNING – 7:00 p.m.
LaSells Stewart Center, OSU

A reception will be held at the LaSells Stewart Center (this is the location for the lecture that follows).
The LaSells Stewart Center is a 5-10 minute walk, or a short drive, from the Fairbanks Gallery on the OSU campus.
The reception will give people a chance to visit with me, and others, prior to my lecture.

I will be presenting a lecture on my photographic work for the past thirty-five years. Following the lecture there will be a book signing, and I will also be happy to visit with lecture attendees.
