Hey all,
Just took some colour film in to get developed as i can't yet do colour at home
(no chemicals)
Got the films back from Asda UK (Wallmart in USA) and they have come out like you see below,
Do you think the camera's shutter / curtain may not be working right ?
Thanks
Just check whether the shutter is working or not, open the back and fire the shutter, could be the film has not gone though the camera, maybe started and somehow stuck on this one frame, put a check film in the camera and make sure it is running right to the end, could even be the film was not loaded correctly,

did you uncap the lens in between the shot ? sorry, a cheap joke, but this can happen with a rangefinder....
maybe it's the film winding mechanism, skipping some length of film, and could be also the shutter (or a heavily underexposed film in those frames)
is this the very first time that happened?
Strange thing is, when you fire it with no film in it seems to work ok,
I tried it in B-stop (bulb) and the mirror jammed up,i had to gently drag the curtain back to reset it.
As you may have already concluded, the mechanics of your X300 are about toast. I had a Nikon F3 some years back which did about the same, service guy told me that the shutter was broken. It's up to you to decide whether repair is worth the effort ...
