Hello from a new member here!

Have started with a Nikon D80 in 2007, then landed on m43 land in 2013/2014 until this year when I switched back to full frame with a Sony A7 series camera. Meanwhile I have bought myself few film cameras and managed to shot few 120 rolls of film with my Rolleicord V and my recently acquired Hasselblad 503cx.

Just hope to embrace the "film will slow you down' philosophy and increase the quality of my pictures.

Glad I have found you!

Hello!
I guess the best experience can be had by exploiting the strongest properties that each tool gives you - film has certainly slowed me down and then sped me up again, when I started to develop my own film and could have slides projected hours later not weeks or month later (when depending on lab).
Now I apply the "slowness" to the beauty of unknowns - shooting film requires some knowledge and trust in one's self. Trust, that your knowledge and experience will present you a great picture down the line, reaffirming your connection with the planet and human achievement up to this point.

Have a great time!

Thank you, guys, for the warm welcome!

As for "shooting film" stuff, I have developed myself my B&W films, now waiting for the last bits needed for my A7Riii "film scanning setup". But the fact that, with my film cameras, I don't have any automation, would force me to learn things I have taken for granted in the past (like exposure, focus, etc.). Really looking forward to start learning all these. Then adding "composition" (another part where "slowing down" should have a positive impact, I guess) and "understanding the light" (shooting B&W should help with this a lot) into to mix...

And yes, there are tons of info on this forum, just need time to read....
