Roman Loranc is one of the others mentioned on the cover. The image looks to be a castle or similar. Screenshot of part of it from my e-mail:

I received and read mine today - great article! Love the images with it, too, though I wish there was a little more description of a few (like Broken Window #3). Hint, hint.. And I hadn't been familiar with Roman Loranc's work and now I'm a fan. Great issue!

Bethe, thanks; my copy arrived this evening. Features such as this are the choice of the editor; and for me, an opportunity to have another set of eyes view my work. I am appreciative of Dean Brierly's choices, and his attempt to include images that define my work. Also, the excellent essay by Dennis Reed.

Regarding Window #3, it is another example of my intrigue with negative space. In this case the white areas, whereas in Window #2, it was the central black area. Hard to put into words.

Yes, Roman has a good eye!

I agree, a great issue..

Best,
Merg

For those looking for the April issue, Barns & Noble stores are the best bet. I checked one of their local Bay Area stores today and there were issues in stock.
Thanks,
Merg

I just came across this, and thought it might interest those who are unfamiliar with Black & White magazine, US. Note, this is the 2018 issue, no longer available on newstands.
