Melbourne APUG get-together!

Wow! Ten peeps! Is that a record, with possibly more to tag along?
Marc, maybe Christine can sink the Doc Martins in for a robust start to the most important day of the year?
Has anybody got a barbie, or should I go and shop for one? The one-tonne behemoth upstairs here does not count as "portable"!
We could whip up some bangers and chops for lunch. Any interest?

I say an early start to NooJee as I go up there for bike rides often. I have a Weber smokey Joe if the car is running I could bring.

Folks always say "oh, I missed that one" after these events, so I've proactively pm-ed a dozen other Melbourne APUG-ers (does a dozen count as spam?) to let them know about this thread!

Without being too 'organised' - maybe it'd be good to have a vague schedule in mind (like "meet-up and introduce ourselves", "go make some photos", "break for lunch and chatting", "make some more photos", "disperse") if only so we don't all just stand around doing nothing at all, as we are at times prone to!!

Marc!

if you want to change the day I'll come along - it's same day as the Melbourne Photo Market at Box Hill Town Hall, and I don't want to miss out on any goodies...

Well I will have to decline if the Photo market is the same day. MCC has a ton of stuff they want me to sell

Or we change to a Saturday ?

BTW car is back

...it's same day as the Melbourne Photo Market at Box Hill Town Hall,...

And there's another date which sneaks up on us without any warning, before you know it it's gone, and you're left lamenting "I didn't know it was on..."

Philosophically speaking, it's probably better to take photo's with what you have than to buy more camera gear.

Definitely don't want to miss the market again - for once it doesn't clash with the historic car racing at Phillip Island (which is the weekend before).

25th good for me.

We'll be there, we will go up Saturday and stay in the camper somewhere quiet, then meet and greet when you lot of plebs get there.

Many thanks to Marc for sending me a pm regarding this, been a bit low on this picture stuff this last year. By the end of this year I should be back in the swing of it again, hopefully.

Coffee isn't too flash in Noojee, but I think the Western side cafe in the main drag has the best.

I'll also be at the flea market with the ute the Sunday prior, so if anyone wishes to purchase a DeVere enlarger, we can throw it in the back. There may be three there, heard a whisper.

Mick.

Sunday 25th March - Noojee! Getting there at 10.00am (yegods!)

Marc!

Yegods indeed, I just looked up where Noojee is, no wonder I'd never heard of it before! It's definitely going to require a sleep over from me, might need to get permission for this one after all

25th...

>>phart sound<<

out of town

back on the 30th I think

Thanks for the PM, Marc. Just got back from two weeks in Cobram. 25th works way better for me, as we will be in Dunkeld the previous weekend. Put me down as very likely, please.

This should be a very interesting Big Day Out, eyeing-off various Wallace & Grommit contraptions. For me, I've got plenty toys to keep a youngster like me amused.
Just looking for a pack mule to carry them on my adventures...
