Great to have more local choice, especially with postage charges often higher than a single roll of film. I saw those single use HP5 cameras in Boots today; I thought I hadn't seem them in a while. I actually saw 120 XP2 in a little photo place in Stratford yesterday.

This is certainly good news and builds on similar reports. This bbc article http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-32337778 mentions how film that was taking weeks to shift a decade ago is now going in a few days. I know that I am getting though more film than ever before and loving every roll that I shoot.

This is fantastic news, my favourite film is now available 7 days a week on the high street in medium format!

I was in a Boots just yesterday and remarked to my companion how peculiar it was to see 4 rolls of HP5+ in 120 0n the shelf.
this could explain the phenomenon ...

About seven quid....

Looks like you're correct. Their online shop is £6.99 for 135 or 120 format. But good to know you can get it on the high street again if necessary.

Its showing on their website as being part of their buy one get 2nd half price promotion which is good as this promo never seems to end.

This is still expensive @ £5.25 per film and can easily be beaten but there is a small saving if a couple of films were your only purchase and you had a Boots within walking distance or it were part of a shopping trip for other things so no additional expense involved. Very limited choice of film however

Even allowing for postage cost the break-even point for one retailer in comparison with Boots is as little as 6 films. Most users will go through 6 films in a relatively short period.

Might still be worthwhile if you pass by the store in your daily rounds, and by buying the odd pair of rolls (since it is on the buy one get a discount on the second deal) may make the experiment by the firms management sucseed, which would give a handy local source for a quick roll of film.

Buy 2 get 2nd half price so 5.24 gbp for two...

And you can use a boots card as well.

My local had FP and XP as well.

Many Boots are open Sunday so if you run out 5.24 is cheap. If you use colour Agfa at pound land is cheaper.-

Saw this on Reddit tonight. It appears that Boots in the UK will stock Medium Format film for the first time in 10 years, with HP5+ 120 being stocked in a large number of their stores:

I can only think that this is good news!

Anyhow, I thought that some people might be interested.

love it but let's hope people will buy it too and not complain abot prices compared to orderin online or it will be gone again soon:sad:.

Mods, time this was combined with the Richard Sintchak thread. I tried to alert you to this via the report a post method as recommended last time but this seems to have failed.

There are good posts on both threads but combining into one avoids having to follow both

Perhaps you should have posted in the other topic which was started after this one and is therefore the duplicate.
