When I bought an Agfa Isolette III recently the seller chucked in three rolls of Fuji Superia 100. I might as well use them but cannot find anywhere local that will process them.

Any UK suggestions would be most welcome!

Thanks in advance.

I can't help you with local but I have always had good service from both Transpacolor (even if they can't spell colour properly) and Peak Imaging.

How are you getting on with the Isolette? If I remember correctly, the Ansco Speedex Special R which I have is the same camera but with Ansco branding. I find the un-coupled rangefinder easier to use than I thought I would.

I haven't had much opportunity to use it yet Steve. Spent most of this last weekend at the Southend Airshow. Took the F80 with a zoom for that. I was cycling so didn't really want to load up with multiple cameras.

Andy - if you are prepared to mail your film, try Palm Lab in Birmingham - www.palmlabs.co.uk they have all the traditional services including hand colour and B&W printing, and offer a great personal service. I wont use anyone else.

They also have the latest digital services too of course, such as Imacon scanning, Chromira prints up to 50" etc. and they recently installed a new 50" paper processor.

Steve, who owns the company, has been printing colour since he was 13, and his right hand man, Simon, also has similar experience. They have Kodak Q-Lab acreditation and all prints are onto Kodak Endura. They also keep Endura Metallic in stock. Film processing is in "dip & dunk" machines, not RT, and this offers the most reliable and cleanest results.

I've used Peak with no problems in the past. They send very well packed negatives and care seems to be taken.

You might find a local high street Snappy Snaps can do it. A lot of high street minilabs can process C41 120 film [but not trad. black and white].

Thank you all for your recommendations. I should have specified in the OP that I am happy to mail.

Peter Gaffney at http://www.metrocolourlab.com/ offers an excellent service. I've been very pleased with what they've done for me.

Only issues I have with Gaffneys is:

1. As far as I am aware, they use only roller transport for film processing;
2. Their prints are over sharpened - although I guess you coudl ask them to tone it down a bit.

Also, Peter Gaffney's Audi sports the number plate: E6 LAB - dont know if this is clever or naff!

Another vote for Peak Imaging, I use them all the time. If you want just single films process only and unmounted, you can get cheaper postage too. I think they are very good value for the quality you get.
