Does anyone out there own any of these? I need to know the dimensions across the top to figure out if I can accomodate these somehow in my tiny darkroom.

I know there are some metal trays that have more vertical sides, but at $175 each they're a little out of my range. Patersons seem to be the most reasonably priced.

Thanks.

I don't have one anymore, but they're not much bigger than that. Maybe 2-3 inches bigger on the top measurements. I couldn't see the high cost anymore (it's the shipping more than the cost of the trays), and just went down to Walmart and cut down some plastic bins that were the sizes I was after. They come w/ lids too, which is handy. Cost was under $10, and all you need to do is lay something smooth on the bottom to keep the print from sticking to the bottom of the tank. The Patersons will break on the top lips if you mishandle them when they're full of chemicals or knock them about.

59 cm x 49 cm incl. the pour spout. Excluding the spout, it's 47 x 57 cm. I could only find my old Dutch metric-only measuring tape.

18 1/2 X 23 1/4 for the Patersons. Outside dimensions including the spout. If looking for new, you might check with US Plastics as they have some trays which would probably work. Although I have a good supply of purpose built/sold trays, my most often used trays are some bins made by Plasgad Plastic Products that are about 20 years old and came with some other darkroom equipment. Trays occasionally come up on Craigslist (Usually at a decent price.) Bill "Too Many Trays" Barber

Thanks guys!

Bill, unfortunately the Kalt trays don't seem to be available in 16x20. There's a Kaiser that looks similar, but it's over twice the price of the Patersons.

A trip to Mallwart may be in my future to see what alternatives they offer.
