I have this nice condition rokkor 75-200, that amazingly has no zoom creep.
Only trouble is that it doesn’t go to infinity. And it’s not by a little.
Infinity and about 50 meters away is noticeably out of focus in the viewfinder.

It doesn’t appear to have ever been dropped or mistreated.

Any idea what could be wrong?

There is no macro mode to engage and the mount plate appears to be nice and tight.

Anyone ever heard of a similar problem?

I had similar problems in a couple of manual focus lenses, neither of them had apparent damages. Good thing is that any camera repair shop can correct it easily.
So it’s just the helicoid stops that are misplaced?
Any idea of how such a thing can happen?
