I'm starting to print with the new Adox MCC. It's beautiful paper and I'm enjoying it. I'm looking for warm tones so I'm using the Compard Print WA developer that Freestyle is selling as a replacement for Agfa's Neutol WA. The label says you can use it at 1:7, 1:11, or 1:15. The only difference it gives between these dilutions is capacity and shelf life--no mention of tone.
I started with 1:15 in the interest of economy. I was disappointed that the tone of the paper was almost neutral--nice, but it only looked warm when placed next to a neutral print and then just barely.
Next session, I mixed the developer at 1:7 as I was planning to print several days in a row. The difference in tone was pretty dramatic.
If you want warm tones from this paper and developer, I suggest you use the 1:7 dilution.
