I have a box of 35mm AF point and shoots, Nikon, Minolta, Pentax, Canon, zooms and few fixed lens. I agree that the MJU is a very good buy, the MJUII is weather resistant. In terms of zoom I like Konica Zups, lens are very good, flash is good, for pocketable any of the moderate Pentax IQ zooms. Fixed lens, Canon with 50 1.7, or my recent fav, Chinon 35F-MA, with 35mm 2.8, the meter cell is inside the lens filter thread so meaning you can use filter, downside is that it takes 46mm filters, hard to find. The ISO is manual, gives some flexibility of overriding the auto set exposure. Not auto focus, the Vivitar 35 ES, not sure who made for Vivitar, manual wind rangefinder, manual set ISO, high end 800, top shutter speed of 1/500th, can fit in a somewhat large pocket, downside, need to use hearing aid batteries.
