Apologies for all the words, all of it is relevant and should be read.
This might look familiar, and it should, this is the second thread I’ve made on a similar subject.
However, although the previous thread did mention Aviphot as an option for the purchase, most folks were more interested in Aerocolor IV, which unfortunately, had a higher minimum order than I was lead to believe by the person who gave me the idea (who was looking at older documentation).
With that out of the way, Aviphot 200 is definitely something I can make into sheet film and medium format films, as it can easily be found on eBay for a good price, in smaller quantities. Aviphot is an amazing film, which has unique qualities not seen in many other films. Some unique qualities of Aviphot 200:
I will be making sheet film from 5 inch (126mm) stock, expired 10/2014, cold stored since new. The 120 and 220 film will be made from 70mm stock, expired 12/2012. Both from a seller I have used before, and whose product has worked out phenomenally.
How to let me know you are interested:
You can fill out the poll attached to this thread, however, this is only for a quick gauge of interest, and doesn’t have all the details I would need to figure out viability. If you are interested in being a part of this project, fill out the google form at the top of the post to let me know what formats you are interested in, as well as how much film you are interested in.
Formats:
I can make films in these sizes relatively easily:
Minimum orders:
I need to reach a minimum amount of film purchased to make this a viable project, however, it is not a super large amount.
Do note: those minimums are the cumulative orders I receive, and you as an individual do not need to meet these minimums.
From 5 inch stock:
I will be accepting PayPal only, and due to PayPal requiring a 21 day hold before allowing access to any payments over $200 in a month via goods and services, I cannot accept goods and services payments for this order. You must use Friends and Family for payment. This is equivalent to cash up front, and I understand if you are not comfortable with this arrangement, and you aren’t comfortable with participating. Unfortunately, as I cannot provide shipping details immediately after payment (as the film has not been purchased or cut down yet), there isn’t much I can do. If you are an international buyer, make sure the friends and family option is available to you.
Aviphot Large/Medium Format Order Interest Form
This form will gauge how much interest there is for this order, to determine whether this type of order is viable.

- Best exposed at 100 ISO, however 200 ISO is possible with half a stop pushed in dev, and 400 with a 2 stop push.
- Coated on an exceptionally clear PET base, and makes great black and white slides.
- Sensitive to near IR light, 700-775nm. With a filter that excludes light below 700nm, such as the Hoys R72, it can make excellent IR images, with glowing foliage and dark skies.
