For matting Kallitype prints, should you use buffered matt board or un buffered matt board?

Thanks!!

Generally speaking, a buffered board should be used for nearly everything. The only time when it is important to use a non-buffered board is when matting cyanotypes. I don't know where the bufferend/non-buffered alt-process confusion started, but all non-buffered board will turn acidic from atmospheric pollutants.

Depending on the paper used for printing, Artcare Alpharag Pearl White and Antique White both have a good color for alt process prints.

Richard - Thanks much. Sandy King also said to use Buffered Board for matting of kallitypes.
