Peter McNully is the owner of the PaperCamera company, and has developed a nice little 35mm matchbox pinhole camera kit. He sent me a few to test and I can tell you they're neat little kits. Might be a neat stocking stuffer...

Also I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that Peter is one of the photographers that will be in my Book of Pinhole that is currently on Kickstarter :D

Looks like fun.
If you wanted to glue a tripod socket to the bottom. Kinda defeats the purpose though doesn't it?

I really like the "stocking stuffer" idea. They'd make a great, fun introduction to film for kids, too.

They don't seem to offer shipping to the US. Wouldn't be the first time I've missed something
on one site or another.

Send an email to them. I'm sure they will accommodate. I know that he was having trouble with his shopping cart and shipping charges so drop him an email.

I clicked on the basic camera and found this.......I quote

We wanted our most basic pinhole camera to be super affordable so we stripped everything back. You will receive a camera printed on A4 paper along with instructions to build and operate the camera dispatched anywhere in world in a hard backed envelope. The rest is up to you. This option is best for overseas customers who already have 35mm film and an empty film cassette....End quote.

I suppose you could send this via email in a pdf or word doc to print out.......Just me thinking.

Many thanks to Kier for posting about the Matchbox Camera.

It is exciting to read the positive comments. It has been great fun designing and seeing the camera go into production. I wanted the camera to be easily distributed so I decided to print it on a single sheet of high quality card stock which means it can be shipped in a hard back A4 envelope anywhere in the world at minimal cost.

The website has been redesigned (thank you Squarespace) as the selling and hosting platform was just not up to scratch. Unfortunately it seems as if a few people have experienced problems with shipping to the United States.

Thank you for the positive comments and especially the constructive criticism.

Drop me a line with any questions of suggestions.

Chris

P.S My name is Chris McNulty although I understand Peter McNally is a fairly decent bloke.
