Luis Marden COLOR PHOTOGRAPHY ©1934. The significance of this book is it documents the difficulty of making color photographs prior to the introduction of Kodachrome Film in movies in 1935 and slides in 1936. The attachments that show the table-of-contents and the introduction that details processes:

Additive systems: separation filters, screen imaging, Agfacolor, Agfacolor Lenticular, and Finlay.

Subtractive: Pigment, Bromoil, DuPont DuPac, Eastman Zelcras, Ives Polychrome, and Pinatype Process.

5x7 inches, paperback, 108 pages

The last few pages are ads for Contax and Leica Cameras.

This was written at the peak of popularity for these processes. They were made obsolete with the introduction of Kodachrome Film and Kodachrome Film Processing.

This is a RARE and COLLECTABLE book. I could not find any used copies for sale. The only other copy I have ever seen was in a recent display at George Eastman Museum. It is a very significant book.

This is a significant historic book. I was recently displayed at Geo. Eastman in an exhibition on Color Photography.
