Hi all,

Going soon on businesses trip to Manila. Beside usual tourist sightseeing - is there something in Manila that is worth visiting and photographing - especially I am interested in people, and timeless / old places? Old temples, churches, cemeteries, or something like that?

Since I will be working - I will have free time in the afternoon and in the evening, so planning to use B&W 400 film with some fast 50mm prime.

Also if you can recommend some nearby place for visit over the weekend (some old village or something) - it would be great.

Thanks!

That's kind of like saying, hey I'm going to Germany, what should I photograph? Manilla is a huge city with a very vibrant vibe. There is everything from the funky Jeepney's (taxis), old RC churches, a cool Bladerunner nighttime vibe in some of the more crowded areas, street markets and on and on.

Your best bet is to do some research on FB and IG. The last time I was there which was probably 10+ years ago, things have changed A LOT as far as the political atmosphere.

Have fun and maybe consider taking a wider lens as well. A good 85/90 fast prime is good too.
