Mamyia 645 CDS Prism

I have wound up in possession of a couple of these finders that do not work. Does anyone know where I can find a repair manual or like resource?

Judging by how many not working finders for the 645 are available for sale, I would say they aren't worth repairing, or are not repairable. I would just use them as regular (aka non-metered) finders.

Doing another search, it looks like I did. However those are user manuals and not repair manuals.

May not be helpful but since it's CDS it should be a simple circuit. (HA! that's what they all say).
If you're just messing with 'em start with the battery compartment and switch. Look for corrosion and/or broken wire,
maybe a bad wire. If this has the CDS on a swing out arm the wires where it flexes would be suspect. CDS cells themselves
have a high mortality rate, The cell itself can be tested with a volt/ohm meter, it should change resistance when exposed to light.
Don't remember if it needs a voltage applied or not.

It's a situation where I have nothing to lose as a friend got them with a 645..... all for $20 and the 645 actually worked. There is no incentive to get a known working one. It's a christmas cookie or bust.

I'm a has-been electronic tech, so the usual skills are at hand. My experience with cameras so far is they tend to live in a world of their own with their own rules applied, so a manual is always helpful. But all else fails, under the knife they go.
