Hello!

I won a mamiya universal with 100 mm lens yesterday, feeding my GAS. And I want to use it for polaroid. After reading this webpage http://moominsean.blogspot.se/2010/02/mamiya-universal-vs-polaroid-600se.html?m=1
I still dont feel any smater about what I should look for. And when I search ebay for mamiya universal polaroid back i get nothing. :/

I would love some help.

I dont need an adapter? And where do i find the polaroid back?

And do I need a focus screen when using polaroid Back? The image with accessories showed.

Hello,

I use a Mamiya Universal for Polaroid, and it is just as suitable for Polaroid as the Polaroid 600se. You will need a Polaroid back that fits the Universal. They turn up often on eBay. The back for Polaroid 600se does not fit.

The 100mm probably does not cover the Polaroid format fully. The lenses most suitable (for Polaroid) are the 75mm, 127mm and 150mm.

IIRC, with the Mamiya press cameras, you have the camera body, an adapter, and then the back. There was a "P" adapter that mated with Mamiya backs and a (less common) "G" adapter that mated with Graphic backs. So, if I'm correct, make sure the polaroid back you acquire is compatible with your setup.

The RB67 Polariod back will go on the press native it needs a P adapter for the RB67. Or the press Polariod back needs the P adapter to fit a RB67.

So some RB67 Polariod backs will work on your press if they use a P adapter.

Good excuse to buy a RB67.

I have a spare Polaroid back, if you're interested I'll check if it's got removable adapter for the press as well. (I bought it for my RB)
