Ella Team,

I have the opportunity to purchase 300mm ULD lens as well as a zoom with ULD designation, anyone have first hand experience with ultra low dispersion glass? What can I expect ? For about 7 gallons of gasoline at today’s prices is the difference between the non ULD and ULD 300 mm...

What say you?
Any sample photos with ULD appreciated.
Would this be the same as Nikon 180mm 2,8 lens versus the 180 2.8 ED version?
Seems they all came about in late 80s same time frame...
Thank You!

I have experience on the Mamiya RZ67 system. The standard 180mm is a very good lens with plenty of sharpness; the 210mm ULD is nothing but exceptional, astouding in color photography. RZ67 ULD lenses are also superachromat, they don't need any focus correction in IR photography.

I just picked up a Mamiya ULD 105-210 lens for my 645 and the results with this lens are fantastic. Used an adapter to test on digital and I am impressed with the results so far
