The aperture lever on my mamiya 65mm 3.5 tlr lens is currently stuck wide open. So far regardless of force, it won't budge at all. Does anyone have any advice or experience with remedying this particular issue? I am both comfortable with and experienced with lens repair as well and I think I'll have to be utilizing those skills for this repair.
Thanks,
Gram.

Although fossilized oil is a possible cause, the aperture control ring can get stuck if it gets grit in it (or under it). You can remove it by taking out the three screws on the back that hold it in place. Once it's off the shutter body, check the surface under the ring for dust, gunk or grit. and give it a good cleaning. If this doesn't do the trick you'll likely need to disassemble the shutter and clean the blades and actuator.
