I have a project here that I couldn't find time for so will see if anyone else can use this.
All this really needs is a shutter cla or different lens and she is ready to shoot.

Mamiya Super 23 with 100 3.5 collapsable lens that goes with the GG back
HERE LIES THE BOTTLENECK- SHUTTER NEEDS CLA

6x7 back with fresh seals
GG back for limited movements

Body shows wear cosmetically but the rangefinder patch is quite good and the viewfinder & framelines are clear
Top has 2 small dents and the handle is crusty.
Darkslide could be cleaned up also but wont effect anything as is.
GG back has a homemade cold shoe mounted?

I had a hard time pricing this as they don't pop up that often and nothing at KEH that I could find to gauge it.
Lets start it at 200.00 usd (net to me)plus actual shipping and see how it goes.

Thanks for looking 41AE7572.JPG web41AE7576.JPG web41AE7578.JPG web41AE7579.JPG web41AE7580.JPG web41AE7582.JPG web41AE7583.JPG web41AE7587.JPG web41AE7590.JPG

You might be able to get more out of it if you piece it out. For instance I've seen the ground glass back go for easily over $100 on ebay. I've been looking for just the grip, or even just the cable release from the grip, but I'm not trying to force you into anything.

You've even got the better back with the lever and not the turn knob. Those fetch a pretty good price as well. Upwards of $80.

If you serious about getting into the Super 23 world virtually all the "mint" ones are gone. This one is fine, realize you will have to sink 2 to 300 into a good CLA by Clarence Gass (in Kansas City). You will then have a like new operable camera that you will love. As noted, the back with the lever IS the one with the most enjoyment and can be very hard to find. Call Clarence, see how soon he can get you in (I pray he is still in business), then buy this camera. The photos one can get from one of these with a little time, a tripod and an eye for a picture can be spectacular.

I'm not sure if that was directed at me but I've actually already got a Super 23 in near mint condition. I'm just looking for some replacement parts (ie the grip)

This baby sold today. Im really pleased someone will put it to its intended purposes.

Now on to the Koni-O for me!
The mamiya system is so much more versatile but the Koni is simple and all I need in a 6x7 rangefinder.

Have fun with it Byron!
