Hi all

Just received a Mamiya 645 Super from a seller in Japan. All seems ok EXCEPT. The focus ring on the lens spins continuously without focussing the image. I does focus if I hold the ring and the lens body behind , but this is obviously not how it should work!

Anyone had a similar experience? I'll contact the seller and report the issue to him.

Regards
Tim

Turns out I pulled the trigger on the post too early (a bit of panic set in!). Problem was just the rubber ring slipping on the lens body, so a bit of epoxy glue under the ring should do the job. Hasn't dried yet but am fairly confident that it will be ok.

Thanks for the reply. Looking forward to exploring this beast

I'd use either rubber cement or contact cement. Far better grip.
