Is this lens magical? I've heard many great things about the Heliar bokeh on the Bessa RF/II and also on the Kodak Medalist. The Mamiya Sekor 105/f3.5 D/DS lensis supposed to be a Heliar design but I don't hear much about it.

1) Is the bokeh distinctive? in comparison to the 80mm f/2.8
2) Does this lens render the image similarly to other Heliar designs?

Sorry, I just edited the Header but I'm talking about the TLR.

Ok, thanks...
I have this lens. I will get back to you once I get home. It has delicious cream instead of bokeh.

I have that lens as well. Shot this with that lens.

I'm quite impressed with this lens. It has a nice way of collecting light.
I'm not sure if this earlier version is actually a heliar-type lens though.

I have the 105 D. It's a good lens, but a fairly recent purchase, without a huge number of photos yet.

I think it's a lovely lens. Mine is the 105mm DS
