hi guys,

i was trying to find information on the weight of the first generation of the ae prism finder and the plane non metered prism finder. i have a rz67 proii and im wanting to purchase a prism finder. i meter with a handheld meter so a metered prism isnt a priority.

if anyone is tried both i would be grateful on anyones input. also is one brighter than another?

so finally found the information. so for future reference. the ae prism weighs 955g and and the non metered prism weighs 830g. other than the meter the two meters re the same. they have a .81% magnifying view with the 110mm lens.

a interesting fact is that the view coverage of the rz67 is 95% not 100%. i always wondered why what i saw on the ground glass was always a tad wider than my composition

future reference for rz67 proii users. i tested both the ae prism finder mark i and ii. both work on the proii body. meter in apeture priority, average and spot exactly the same. the read out differs on the mark ii version more visual aids. the brightness is exactly the same. magnification is exactly the same. the mark i is lighter and is a noticeable.

i ended up purchasing the mark i version as i didnt really see a difference to justify the price difference.

i hope this info helps people who like myself was trying to find this information.

thanks for sharing!! I use the metered hood, as I use the new coyote instax square back. the prism would be in the way of the ejection slot. the hood is fine as well, same magnification and metering system.

you are welcome. the guy i bought it off had the exact same finder you have. its rather cool i must say. having a prism finder makes the rz67 experience completely different. i would have though it would be harder to focus as the magnification isnt as strong as the loupe in the wlf but it was fine.
