I picked up a Mamiya Auto Metra 48mm 1.9 F.C. the other day, and I'm quite pleased with it. I just have a simple question: What does the F.C. signify?
Old 1960s & 70s Nikon lenses of mine have something similar, such as N.C or H.C, etc, which from my understanding signifies the number of lenses and being coated. Thus, my hunch is that the F.C. pertains to the number of lenses in addition to being coated, but I'm not exactly sure after a quick search didn't turn up anything.
Look forward to hear your responses. Thanks!

I don't know for certain, but perhaps Front Coated (just the front element) or Fully Coated (all elements). Open the back and see if the rear element is coated.
