Hello,

I had an issue with the shutter on my 65mm f/6.3 lens and decided to try and fix it myself. I wasn’t able to fix the shutter issue, but not being able to find any information on the lens took it apart more than I needed to.
The issue I’m having is screwing the lens into the bayonet mount.
The threads on the lens are multi start and are incredibly fine. For whatever reason I can’t get it to light up and thread and they’re reverse threaded as well. Does anyone have any suggestion for this problem?
I’ve attached pictures showing the threads and where it screws.

You have to make sure that both thread helical sections are totally parallel to each other and use a very light touch when mating them. If you did not mark the point of separation, that will add to the challenge of getting things back together properly.

Well I forgot to mark them, is this something a camera repair store could fix for me? Or would I need a really special one?

At this point, having your lens fixed by a repair shop would probably be the best option and that way you can get the original issue resolved. I would like to think that most shops that repair analog equipment should be able to handle this task.
