Mamiya press bag

Can anyone out there suggest a good bag/holdall to carry a mamiya press, 2 lenses and a couple of film backs, is there anything from the billingham range that would do ? or what about the rucksack lowepro style ?

I've found that bags marketed for video cameras tend to work better for odd shaped cameras. That's what I use for my Mamiya Super 23.

When I take out my Mamiya Press Universal(with one lens, one folder), I either put it in a Domke F-3 or in a backpack that's about the same size as the Domke.

Best of luck. I had a Mamiya Universal for years and could never find a convenient bag to fit it - it is such a strange shape.

Mamiya made a bag specifically for the Press/Super 23/Universal. I've never actually seen on in person, but they show up now and then on the auction site.

Pretty massive thread dig here, but I impressed myself today by finding a perfect bag for my Press 23 and had to report back.

My solution is a 16 can soft cooler. Its padded top, bottom and sides, has a flip top lid, has some mesh pocket action inside, an adjustable sash with padded bit for the shoulder. As required, it fits the press with handle on and 100mm lens (retracted for a bit more wiggle room), ground glass back, spare back and yes, I think I'd get at least one more lens in there too. I looked at Coleman and it was a bit bigger than I wanted, so got another brand which is a great fit.
Added bonus is that it can sit in the car and not get too hot for a few hours These things are pretty tough too, most have ripstop nylon fabric top and sides, and mine at least has a cordura base... its pretty hard to beat!

I use a gym bag that I had reinforced with leather straps and extra stitching at a shoe repair shop. Holds my press with 100 and room for a 150 and a wide angle lens and small pouch for filters.
