Got the 65mm f/6.3 lens the other day and it’s great. I’ve noticed that the lens wobbles just ever so slightly when I put the cable release in. It can go from left to right, and has a little play if you try to pull the lens forward. I tightened the lock ring on the back of the lens but it still has a little play. It only moves if I physically make it. Is this normal? Just hoping this won’t potentially affect focus if I shoot wide open.

My 65 and 55 both lock in without any movement, if your 100 locks in without movement then my guess is that the 65 has a worn mount, or is lose, check to see if the flanges move. If both the 100 and 65 move then a worn mount on the body.

I took the lens out and still does the same, tightened the lock ring on the back too, same story.

It's in the lens, worn or lose so the barrel rolls, at this point don't know a shop that works on Mamiya. The press line was widely used by pros, wedding, event and the press folks, most of the gear has been heavily used, saying that my guess is a lose screw, the breech mount collar on the body that locks the lens in place is prone to wear, but then all lens would be lose not just the 65..
