hi
i just purchaused a used 65mm L-A and while looking at it i noticed that you can't see the internal lens move when you rotate the floating element ring. i had an older loating element C lens and you could see the internal floating element move. should i be able to see the newer L-A element move also?
thanks
mitch
The whole front of the lens moves, and it is a small amount. Watch the rim of where the front element is relative to the pieces next to it (the lens barrel). You will see it move.
The 140 M/L-A moves also, both the front and back elements move a bit on that one. Easily seen from the front or back.
65 M/L-A is a great lens, btw. One of the sharpest in the RZ lineup, no doubt.
