Mamiya C330s film advance crank stuck

The title says it all. I checked all the interlocks -- light baffle locked, shutter unlocked, advance set to "single." As far as I can tell both film spools were properly seated.
The crank was advanced about 45 degrees from the rest position when I opened the camera to load it. Does the crank have to be in the rest position when loading the camera?
I've used the camera for years with no trouble, and I'm pretty sure it's OK mechanically. I think it's a user problem..Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Has the lens been taken off before loading? Ive had problems if the shutter cocking lever got on the wrong side of the shutters arm.

Have you taken any pictures on this roll? What's the frame counter set to?

I use this old thread, because I encounter a similar problem. The wind crank is stuck 180 degrees fturned from the docking point, the shutter is blocked. With or without spool installed, single or multi, locked-unlucked, all settings tried. Body was always okay. I use this camera for years, but I came by the user manual, and tried a sequency for replacing the lens that was in there and that I never used:
'1. If the film wind crank is not kept positioned diagonally upward, (the same angle as the crank housing position), the cocking lever (17) cannot be connected'
(I never flipped the crank upwards before..., and now I did, it is stucked...)
Any help on how to unblock, would be realy appreciate

Is the camera's shutter cocking lever on the wrong side of the shutter cocking lever on the lens?
If so, remove the lens, manually cock the shutter, replace the lens and see if it works from there.

No, that is not the issue, but thanks Matt. It doesn't release without lens either. (i know about all the blocking systems of the c330, (without spool, unlocked,lock, etc...), that is often the issue... I am afraid Iis is an mechanical issue this time.)

I know you are familiar with all the blocking systems on the C330 but just check you have moved the lock/ unlock wheel back to lock.

It is the only thing that I do on occasions that answers to the discription of your problem.
