Purell is 70% ethyl alcohol with an additional unspecified quantity of isopropyl. So, close enough to 99% alcohol. The rest is gels and perfumes to make it thicker and make it smell nice.

I'm sure you're right, but one of the precut seal kits I used recommended that as a placement aid, and it worked great.

Your post got me to thinking... As mentioned, the lack of an enlarger would be an issue, but another consideration is developing 4x5 negs. How do people do that these days? Back in the day (1970s) I tried tray development once and said never again. I bought three rubber open-top tanks and a bunch of stainless steel sheet film hangers in 4x5 size. Filled the tanks with developer, stop, and fixer, unloaded the film holders into the hangers in the dark, and did the entire development in the dark, using "lift-and-dip" agitation. Worked well enough. Do most people use Jobo rotary processors to develop 4x5 these days?

These days people have a lot of choices. There are Paterson tank inserts, Jobo, Spearman, Combi-Plan etc. An old classic Nikor tank exists but is rare, there's a knockoff of it. But I prefer trays in the dark, with an infrared viewer.

Let me know if you need the repair manual.

I also like the experience of processing in the dark, though I don't use a viewer.

If you wouldn't mind sharing, I'd love a copy of any repair manuals along these lines.

Currently on KEH there are 8 tlr bodies (4 of them C330's) and 17 lenses. Nothing to stop you...
I’ve used KEH before and don’t really care for them that much. Their stock on things like a C330 tends to be low and their listings show a stock photo, not photos of the actual camera. So they might have a camera in stock listed as Ex+ condition, but without photos, it’s still a crapshoot.

Another peeve with KEH: for a company selling cameras, the stock photos for their listings are ridiculously low-res.

Usedphotopro.com typically has even fewer listings for cameras I’m interested in than KEH.

I never found the differences between all of them worth bothering about, owning a C33 and a C220 and loving them both. Currently on KEH there are 8 tlr bodies (4 of them C330's) and 17 lenses. Nothing to stop you....

I’ve got my choices narrowed down to two. The first is a C330S with lens on eBay for $750. In the pictures, this camera looks really good—almost like new except for one or two rub marks on the base around the tripod hole.

KEH has a C330S with 80mm lens in Ex+ for around $100 more. KEH doesn’t have pictures so buying this one is essentially sight unseen.

The question is, is buying from KEH, with their warranty, worth an extra hundred bucks, for a camera that’s possibly not as cosmetically nice as the one on eBay?
