Mamiya back DIY camera in 3d printer!!!

Hello

I am really interested in making a DV direct vision camera that could take mamiya s shape roll film back!!!

i tryed to found some tupperware with a usable size and profound enough to take the 17-35 helicoid i have and to take a nikkor 105mm 5.6 but it´s finding a needle in a haystack!

Wonder if someone could make a 3d template as i do not understand nothing of that software and we could all send to print cameras in 3d services!!!

or maybe anyone has already made it?

the most complicated should be a locking device but i think some clips could work in the beginning!!!

3D modelling for fabrication is not an easy task if you're going beyond basic shapes, and getting a reliable 3D print to mate with existing items just adds another layer of complexity to the mix.

In all honesty you may have more luck taking this project to a Makerspace or similar and talking to people on dedicated Modelling/Printing forums.

I sadly don't have the camera gear you're looking to use, so I don't have a reference to go on to help build up a model.

Ok!!!

I think i manage to build one lens cone to fit onto mamiya press s back!!!! the atachment will be a little amateurish and it will use chinese helicoids... i am planning to build for 105mm nikkor w but others will come after: 47mm, 50mm, 65mm, 75mm, 90mm for the lenses i own and plan to own...

black ABS is going to be used (3d printing)

Not to be a complete idiot or anything, but the joy of tinkering aside why don't you use, say, a Century Graphic?

I have a mamiya universal press and a few large format cameras and medium format backs adding to a few medium format cameras like hasselblad and bronica and mamiya... and voigtlander bessa ii...

i just want to play around with things and make those things work...

century graphics are not very common in portugal...
