Hi,

I bought a Mamiya 7ii and took a couple of shots yesterday, using a cable release for the first time. Today when I was using the camera I discovered the on and off switch doesn’t work, the camera is fine and I have changed the batteries, but when I turn the switch to the red dot (off), it is still on and I can take pictures.

Anyone experienced anything like this?

Thanks!

/Biff

That's not been my experience with PCW and I would say I have more experience than most.

PCW used to have a great reputation. Not anymore. One camera I sent him got misplaced, then I finally got it back un-repaired and with a cracked case, the second camera he had for over a year and no one would respond to my emails or phone calls to get it back. I finally got through to someone and was told that their technician (not Bob) didn't have the skills to fix it - when I sent it in Bob assured me it was an easy fix - aligning the lens of a Noblex that would focus past infinity. I've seen other reports of PCW losing people's cameras. This is NOT a place I would send a mamiya 7 for repair. For anything Mamiya - you want to send it to Bill Rogers.
