I received a Mamiya 7 80mm via Adorama and I noticed that the leaf shutter in the lens does not open up all the way when fired. I couldn't find any issues out there similar to this one. Is this just normal operation? I attached a photo of the lens in bulb mode. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

What aperture setting are you using for that photo?

Wide open at f4 but its the same for any aperture any speed that is the most the leaf shutter will open up.

The previously mentioned lens went back to Adorama for a refund. I now have received another 80mm from KEH in EX condition this time but It happens to have a few hairs/scratches inside the rear elements of the glass think this might have any impact on the photos at all? (see photo attached) I was only able to get a photo of the largest hair/scratch. I assume it won't from experience but would also appreciate another opinion on the matter. I would love to actually test it out myself but the Mamiya 7 I purchased also from KEH had a sticky shutter button and had to go back for a warranty repair.

If it's a hair , who cares , but a scratch is a long way from EX condition ! Peter
