Hello i just got a mamiya 7 with a 80mm lens. The framelines are faint, and ill defined. Also the 65mm and 80mm frame lines are visible at the same time although hardly. Below are cell phone photos shot through the viewfinder. First is the frame lines with no lens mounted, which show 65mm. Second is with the 80mm attached.
In the image above the framelines are bright, and well defined.
In the second image they are hardly visible.
When i look into the housing of the camera body where the lens attached i see a small little lever. That lever connects to a small portrouding metal tab on the lens its self. Below is an image
When i move that lever, and look into the viewfinder i can see the framelines transition from 65mm, to 80mm, and to 150mm. And it looks great. However, when i mount the lens it's horrible.
My friend has a mamiya 7 and an 80mm lens so i want to test his lens on my camera and my lens on his camera to rule out the tab on the lens being an issue.
Any one else ever run into this problem?
