I have a Mamiya 7 body that i recently acquired for the polaroid back that was attached to it. I know most people like to keep the polaroid back attached to an extra body, but I really dont mind swapping the back, so I figured I'd see if anyone else would want to body.
The body comes with no body cap or back, as it they weren't included when I purchased it. There are some floating around on eBay for around $100.
The condition of the body is fair, it shows obvious signs of use and has two small cracks; one at the bottom of the grip and one on the back of the camera on the right side. (see attachments)
Though not pictured I do have the strap for the camera, i just took it off while i was testing it and never put it back on.
Other then the cosmetic condition of the camera it is in FULL working condition. I made sure to thoroughly check everything, at least everything I could think of. I removed the back from my other Mamiya 7 along with my 50mm lens onto this body to check everything;
- The curtain unlocks and locks into place perfectly.
- The contacts are nice and clean, and work perfectly.
- The advancing lever advances and so does the feed inside of the body.
- The spilt-image is aligned correctly and moves smoothly with the lens.
- The view finder is clean and bright.
- The light meter is accurate, I compared it to my other Mamiya 7 and a Sekonic 588 on spot.
- ISO and shutter speed adjustment knobs turn freely and are accurate in comparison to what is displayed in the viewfinder.
Also, the small piece of metal and two screws that are under the bottom cover that hold to hing in place for the door are present and intact, if you were planing to replace it.
You could either use this for replacement parts for a current Mamiya 7 or buy a new back and actually use the camera.
Im asking $375 for the body +S&H. A donation to APUG will be made.
