Hello, i have a first version mamiya 7. The baseplate has a slight crack, it's cosmetic and really doesn't affect the functionality of the camera. I have the option of buying a new baseplate. It seems like it's something that i can repair my self.

From this link you can see the baseplate taken off. It seems to be as simple as removing a few screws.

I'd like to confirm that there is no more to do than to remove the screws and swap out baseplates. I was wondering if anyone has done this and could guide me.
