I have just shot a roll of BW 100 film with the ISO dial set at 125 on my Mamiya. Can anyone please tell me how to compensate for this error when I develop the film?
Also, on the shutter speed dial, what do the settings 1S, 2S & 4S stand for? Are there more detailed instructions available then those that come with the camera?

Regards,
Phoebe

the 1S, 2S & 4S will most likely mean seconds (I have two 645's, a 1000s and a Pro TL, and the seconds are in a different colour I'm pretty sure, but I haven't noticed the 'S'... I should pay more attention!)

The mamiya site has some manuals in PDF format, however the 645E isn't included, and it sounds like you have the manufacturers manual anyway (and I agree they seem a bit light on detail... eg, I can't find what my prism finders metering scheme is and i'd like to know!)

As for processing your film, I would just process normally. If it was REAL important to you, and you don't already use one of the speed 'enhancing' developers then you could use one of them (eg XTOL) but that would mean you'd probably have to do a few tests to dial in a development time before doing the important roll.

Nige,

I am almost certain, the metering on the Mamiyas have always been center weighted, this goes for virtually all of the various prisms they have introduced over the years.

Phobe, the numbers with the S after them indicate 1 second 2 second and 4 seconds for the longer exposures.

Phoebe, I have a 645e and it's not complicated. I don't have a manual but if you have a specific question, other than the shutter speed one that's already been aswered, reply to this thread or PM me and I'll help out if I can.

Glenn.
