Mamiya 645afdii + flash/strobe

I am hoping someone can help. I would like to use a flash with my 645afd ii. I recently purchased a 45 Cl-4 and a 45 CT-3, both used. I also purchased a sca 3952 and sca 3000c adapter.

I am still too new to using flash with this 645afd ii to figure out what is malfunctioning. However, one flash does not work - it does not test fire. [Aside: I have successfully used strobes with a M645, so I'm not completely clueless.]

I have not tried a sync cord and strobes with it - I will try that today. What are the steps to figure out what is malfunctioning?

(they all of have new batteries - and inserted correctly). Honestly, I'm not sure if it's the sca 3952 or sca 3000c adapter.

Thanks! Yes, I've consulted it. It's an afd and not sure if the chart correctly lists the adapter, as elsewhere (mamiya leaf) an afd needs a 3952 adapter. (Not 3951 for an af listed in the chart.

3952 is correct for the AFDxxx cameras. I have a 54mz3 that I use with mine. It took me forever to find one and cost a pretty penny, too.

I should clarify after having read my post again. The 3952 was the unobtanium part of the rig. The 54mz3 should be easy to find for a decent price.

I actually found that model (used) flash at B&H yesterday. So, after returning all the parts I had that didn’t work, it will be a wash. I am looking forward to trying it all out! Thanks for the recommendation.
