Mamiya 645AFD and V-Grip

Can anyone tell me if the Mamiya V-Grip will work with an AFD? I don't care about the shutter release functions. I am hoping that the grip at least fits into the camera and I guess the battery function will need to work. I like a large camera and the grip would make it a perfect size for me. I guess my only other option would be the Contax system as it has a grip, but I can't afford the insane prices they sell for.

I have the AFDIII with the aftermarket Ejji Li-ion battery that supposedly works on all Mamiya AFD/DF camera's. So there's a good chance that at least the battery of the V-grip works with your AFD. You may want to ask the same question at the GetDPI.com forums. There are a lot of long time Mamiya / Phase One users there as well as some dealers.
